Privacy policy: NetCam Toolkit
Pročitajte ovu politiku na bosanskomThis policy explains how the Android app NetCam Toolkit handles data. The app is developed and published by HMCode, Sarajevo. Send questions and requests to podrska@hmcode.ba.
In short
- The app has no user account and no server of ours. Projects, calculations and discovered devices stay on your phone, and HMCode cannot see them.
- The free version shows ads through Google AdMob. To show ads, Google collects certain device data, as described below.
- The network tools run only when you start them.
Data that stays on your phone
The app stores on your phone:
- projects: the name, client name, address and notes you enter;
- calculations linked to projects (inputs and results);
- devices found by the scanner: IP address, open ports, and the likely vendor, device type and ONVIF name;
- PDF report details: the installer’s name and contact, if you enter them in Settings;
- app settings and the length of the Pro period.
This data is not sent to HMCode or to third parties. You can delete it in the app (by deleting a project), by clearing the app’s data in Android settings, or by uninstalling the app.
If Android backup is turned on for your phone, the system may include the app’s data in the backup on your Google account. Google creates and stores that backup according to your settings, and HMCode has no access to it.
Network tools
The LAN scanner, ping, port check, ONVIF discovery and RTSP generator run only when you start them. The scanner and ONVIF discovery send requests only to devices on the network your phone is connected to. Ping and port check send requests only to the address you enter. Results are shown and kept only on your phone.
The app uses the username and password for an RTSP address only while that screen is open. The password is never saved, either in the database or in settings. When you copy an address that contains a password, the app marks it as sensitive, so Android does not show it in the clipboard preview.
Ads (Google AdMob)
The free version shows a short ad when the app starts, at most once an hour and never on the first launch. You unlock Pro features by watching a rewarded video ad. They then stay active for 12 hours, and there is no start-up ad during that time.
Ads are delivered by Google through its ads SDK (Google Mobile Ads SDK). According to Google, this SDK automatically collects and sends to Google:
- your IP address, which can be used to estimate the device’s approximate location;
- data about ads in the app, for example that an ad was shown or tapped;
- diagnostic data about how the SDK runs;
- device identifiers, including the Android advertising ID.
Google uses this data to show and measure ads, for analytics and to prevent fraud. The data is sent encrypted. In AdMob, HMCode sees only aggregate statistics, such as impressions and earnings, not data about individual users. How Google uses this data is described in Google’s privacy policy and on the page How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Your choices:
- For users in the European Union, the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the app shows Google’s consent form before any ads. You can change your choice in the app: Settings → Ad privacy.
- You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings (usually under Privacy → Ads, or Google → Ads). Ads are still shown, but without your advertising ID.
Permissions
- Internet (
INTERNET): for the network tools and for ads. - Network state (
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): so the app knows whether the phone is connected to a network. - Wi-Fi state and Wi-Fi multicast (
ACCESS_WIFI_STATE,CHANGE_WIFI_MULTICAST_STATE): for ONVIF camera discovery, which uses multicast on the local network. Multicast is turned on only while discovery is running. - Advertising ID (
AD_ID): this permission is added by Google’s ads SDK.
The app does not ask for access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts or files.
PDF reports
A project’s PDF report is created on your phone. It is shared only when you choose Share, and only with the app you pick (for example email or Viber). From then on, that app handles the data.
Payments
The app has no purchases or subscriptions. Pro is unlocked only by watching an ad, so HMCode receives no payment data.
Children
The app is a tool for CCTV installers and is intended for adults. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data about children.
Your rights and contact
HMCode does not keep your data on a server, so you delete the app’s data yourself, as described above. For data that Google collects through ads, use the choices in the app and in Android, or contact Google. For any other questions, write to podrska@hmcode.ba.
Changes to this policy
If the app changes how it handles data, we update this page before releasing that version of the app and change the “last updated” date at the top of the page. We also mention important changes in the update notes on Google Play.
